Gareth Wood – Nightlife

An exciting three-movement sonata for marimba and piano. Each of the three movements depicts a different nocturnal mood. The style is similar to Gareth Wood’s popular works for wind orchestra and brass band with melodic phrases and rhythmic intricacies.

Nightlife was premiered by David Danford (marimba) and Nicola Rose (piano) at the 2008 RNCM Day of Percussion.
